This is Sunny.  This cute girl is
also in rescue with H.A.R.T. in
New York
Here is beautiful Lady (a.k.a. Stella).  Lady
was rescued by H.A.R.T. and has already
found her wonderful forever home with
people who love her unconditionally.
This gorgeous girl is Diamond.  She was surrendered to the
shelter by her owners which meant she had to spend some
terrifying nights here before Southern Paws in Vicksburg, MS
stepped up and saved her!  She is now receiving the love and
care that she deserves and will move on to a wonderful life with
someone who will truly love and cherish her!
This adorable little girl is Callie Lu.  I just had to get the shot
of her with "the ears" in here!  Even though she is a little
older now her ears sometimes still stick up - sometimes
only one of them!  Miss Callie is going to travel all the way to
Rhode Island as soon as she is finished with her meds.
She will be going together to be adopted to wonderful
families - in fact I think Callies' family has already chosen
her and are just waiting for her arrival!
Pepper.   is now in her forever
home and dearly loved in
Massachusetts.
Celeste!
This adorable little girl was
rescued by H.A.R.T. in New
York.  She is certainly a much
happier little girl now!  Her
name is Violet.
Running for home!
This adorable guy is Beagle Boy.  He has been
a part of ASDR since very early in 2006!  He has
finally found his forever place to be and is now
living in Michigan!  Yeah, Beagle Boy!
I am adorable little Gizmo!  I stayed at LRAS for the
longest time then these nice people came and
took me home - but I was so afraid of people that I
ran away in the back yard.  My foster Mommy
understood me though, and had the patience to let
me learn to trust her!  I'm still very shy but I just
know that once I get to my new home in Rhode
Island I will just blossom into a wonderful
personality!
CATAHOULA BABIES!!!
The 2 adorable babies at left are
brother and sister and the little doll
above is yet another houla that
showed up in LRAS.  They have all
been rescued by Catahoula Rescue
NE and have just reached their
permanent foster home in PA and will
be adopted  there.
This adorable brother/sister act was
rescued by Catahoula Rescue Inc. - NE.
This sweet pair will be arriving in
Pennsylvania on Sunday April 2.
You know - I don't have a clue why it continues to
amaze me how little people value animals - and what
they will do when they are tired of them!  This
wonderful boy is Dobbi.  He is a 14 year old Dobie
mix who has been debarked.  After giving a family 14
wonderful years of his life, what do they do for him?
They bring him to a high kill shelter when he gets to
be any trouble to take care of.  Even at 14 Dobbi was
in perfect health other than the normal aches and
pains.  He is a gorgeous dog with beautiful manners.
It is obvious he has been loved and cared for - which
makes it even harder to understand how someone
could have done this!  At any rate - that is all behind
him now as he is safe and sound in his new
townhome in Boston, living with a couple who have
another senior dog.  Good for you, Dobbi!!!
Meet Bert!  This beautiful guy was
listed as a lab mix on his shelter
intake card.  Thank goodness
Catahoula Rescue Inc. recognized
him as a "houla boy".  He was
rescued by them and is now in a
wonderful foster home in Canada
until he finds his forever home.
Here is the sweet guy in his foster home in Canada.
Bert is the one on the left.  Quite a change from his
shelter picture - and such a wonderful ambassador for
rescued animals everywhere!
HAPPY COBAIN!  He is so glad he is getting to go to
Tennessee and stay with someone who is going to find
him the very best home!
This big clown is Hootie!  This is how he
looked in LRAS.  You can just see how
terribly thin he was.  Even with that though, he
never lost his fantastic personality!  And he
still has it in his foster home in Pennsylvania
as you can see from his picture at the right!
This is sweet Max (now Parker).  Max was
picked up as a stray and no one ever came to
claim him!  Unbelievable!  Max has now gone to
a new foster in Austin, TX where he will be
available for adoption through Austin Cocker
Rescue.
This is wonderful Smokey.  He is a
beautiful lab who was trying to make it on
his own until he was caught by animals
services.  In one way I guess that was his
lucky day because he is very heartworm
positive.  Some wonderful rescue angels
saw his plight and stepped up and said
we want to save him - we will pay for all
his care.  He is now in foster in Little Rock
and is looking for his forever home.
This is wonderful Kip.  He was found wandering the
streets of Memphis, starving and very ill.  He had severe
heartworms and a wonderful angel took him in and paid
for all his vet care and boarding.  He now has a very
temporary foster home but it looks like he may be finding
a new place at a shelter in Rhode Island who has a very
good placement record!  GOOD NEWS!  Kip has been
adopted!!
This beautiful girl has survived
at LRAS for a month.  She now
has a wonderful family in
Memphis, TN. who saw her
beauty and loved her enough to
save her.   ASDR helped
facilitate getting this sweet girl
out of a shelter and get into a
loving home!
This handsome guy is Charlie.  His owners
brought him to their local vet for boarding for
one night and never came back for him.  The
vet was unable to find them and kept Charlie at
his office for a month.  He knew that he could
not keep him any longer and his staff, knowing
that he might have to go to a kill shelter asked
us if we could find him a home.  He is now in a
wonderful foster home and just waiting for his
forever home!
Meet Maddox (now Max).  This beautiful boy was in a
high kill shelter in Arkansas.  He was in this shelter for
almost a month before he was finally adopted.  He was
promptly brought back because the adopter developed
an allergy.  He remained there for another week or more.
It is just incredible that he was not adopted.  How could
anyone resist him???  He is safe and sound now with a
family that loves him dearly.
This is adorable little Carly.  She has been adopted
by a family in New Jersey.  Carly is living the good
life with a wonderful family of her own.  What a lucky
little girl!
This beautiful "Mommy" had a puppy at LRAS.  Her
puppy was adopted and she was left not knowing what
in the world would happen to her.  Lucky Bella - great
things have happened for her - she is now at her
forever home in Chicago, IL with a wonderful family
who loves her very much.
This beautiful senior girl was the survivor of a house fire in
which her owner was killed.  She found herself in a shelter
at her age confused, frightened and ready to give up - until
a wonderful angel came along and said "I want to save this
girl!".  She is now in a foster home where she is adjusting
very well and will soon be going to her forever home in
Columbus, OH
This sweet little guy was rescued by
H.A.R.T. and now is in rescue in New
York.
